NIMCET 2024 Applications Open: Apply for MCA Admission in NITs

NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test) is a National-level entrance exam conducted for admission into the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs offered by The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) across India.

How can I apply for the NIMCET examination?

To attend the NIMCET examinations, one must register between 6th March 2024 and 20th April 2024. The examination is set to be conducted on the 8th of June 2024.

1. Visit the official NIMCET website- http://www.nimcet.in/ 

2. Navigate to the “Registration” section and create an account by providing basic details.

3. Carefully fill out the online application form.

4. Upload scanned copies of necessary documents as per the specified guidelines.

5. Proceed to pay the application fee of Rs. 2500 for General/OBC/Open-EWS candidates and Rs. 1250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

6. Ensure the submission of the application form before the stipulated deadline.

How to check my eligibility for NIMCET 2024?

To be eligible for NIMCET, the student must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate score of 60% (55% for SC/ST) in any discipline from a recognized institution. (Students pursuing their final year of education can apply for this examination)

NIMCET 2024 Exam Pattern

The NIMCET is scheduled to be conducted in online mode. The exam will be conducted entirely in English. Candidates should note that the duration of the examination will be 2 hours, with the exam window open from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The exam comprises objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with a total of 120 questions to be answered by each candidate. 

This extensive question set covers a wide range of topics, including mathematics, analytical ability, logical reasoning, computer awareness, and general English. Candidates should familiarize themselves with the online exam interface and practice solving mock tests to adapt to the online testing environment and enhance their speed and accuracy in answering questions.
