UGC NET Exam stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. This is considered as one of the most prestigious examination for the positions of assistant professor, Junior research fellow or both.

Age Limit – The age limit for this exam is 30 years. But, there is relaxation for OBC, SC, ST, transgender and PwD candidates for around 5 years, which means the age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification – For general and EWS candidates, the postgraduate degree should have a minimum of 55%. And for other categories such as OBC, SC, ST, transgender and PWD candidates , they should have a degree with minimum 50%.

1. Firstly visit the official website of NTA National testing agency, then register yourself with the valid email id and mobile number.
2. Then fill the application form with the details like educational qualification, name, personal details and other information.
3. There is a need to upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
4. After that, pay the application fee. The fee can be paid through different payment modes such as credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
5. After successful submission, download the confirmation page to avoid any problem in the future.
About Application Fee
Fee for UGC NET December 2023 varies according to the different category of the applicant –
- For General candidates the fee is ₹1100.
- For OBC-NCL, General-EWS candidates the fee is ₹600.
- For other categories like SC, ST, PWD and transgender candidates the fee is ₹325.
