CBSE 10th & 12th SUPPLEMENTARY EXAM Form 2023 to be available from 1st June…

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting its compartmental exams from 17th July 2023 (Monday) for class 10th & on 17th July 2023 (only one day) for class 12th. The datasheet will be released soon on the official CBSE website i.e. cbse.gov.in for both classes 10th as well as 12th.

Also, one major change that was taken by National Education Policy 2020 was that the nomenclature of the examination was changed from CBSE Compartment Exam to CBSE Supplementary Exam. The syllabus for the concerned exam will remain the same as that of the main exam.

Fee Structure:

For both the 10th & 12th class, regular students the fee to submit for the exam is INR 300 per subject, and for any foreign school candidate it gets increased to INR 2000 per subject and INR 1000 per subject for candidates belonging to Schools based in Nepal. Then comes another criterion that’s concerned with the late fee submission where a late fee of INR 2000 (in addition to the fee prescribed) for the LOC submitted between 16th – 17th June 2023. In the case of private students, there is a slight variation in the amount of fees that need to be submitted.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. For class 12th a candidate is given 3 chances to clear the examination of 2023 and if the person failed in 1/5 subjects then can appear for the test. On the other hand, if the candidate gets compartment in 2/6 subjects then can only appear for one and those students who are declared overall pass but didn’t clear any one subject then can appear for improvement.
  1. For class 10th a candidate who got compartment in one or two subjects can appear for the test. Also, the candidate who is placed in the EIOP (i.e. Eligible for Improvement of Performance) category can sit for the exam but if they also fail to clear and gets a NIOP (i.e. Not Eligible for Improvement of Performance) then they won’t be getting any second chance.

After this at last comes one of the most crucial steps which is to know about how to apply for the CBSE Supplementary Exam. Regular Students can contact their respective schools to submit the LOC on their behalf. A person can even directly check the online mode application process procedure on the official website (for private candidates). Firstly after opening the official site, one needs to select the class for which the individual is willing to fill up the compartment form. Then one needs to look up Online Submission of LOC for Compartment/IOP Exam 2023 and then select the right link as per one’s class. Then the person needs to submit a few details like Roll Number, School Code, and Centre Number and then proceed towards uploading a scanned copy of one’s photo and signature. After that one can submit the fees by the mode present on the site and at the end need to click on the submit button.

In the end, the candidate needs to proceed by submitting a set of documents to the address of the regional office.
