An individual has to obtain a certificate in GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) and register themselves as RNRM (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) from the State Nurses Registration Council.

Entrance examination

BSc Nursing is a professional medical program. Naturally, an individual has to appear for the entrance test to get admitted to the course. Hence, for pursuing a BSc in Nursing degree from a renowned Nursing university, an individual has to take an entrance exam of national level and state level reputation, at least. Generally, the BSc Nursing entrance exam duration lasts between 90 to 120 minutes, in a usual scenario. The time duration may vary depending on the entrance exam. A few colleges divide the examination into two sets of papers. In such cases, the exam timings stretch up to 3 hours.
