Top 10 MBA entrance exams that you should know…

  1. CAT Common Entrance Exam 

CAT is the most popular and competitive entrance exam in India. Used to get admission to the Indian Institute of Management. Candidates can fill out the 2023 form by September 13th. This year CAT score will be acceptable to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.

  1. GMAT Exam Graduate Management Admission Test

Many Top business schools accept this exam. It is a computer adaptive test. 9 out of 10 new MBA enrolments’ are made using GMAT scores. It is a proven predictor of a student’s success. It is for 3 hours 45 mins.

  1. GRE Exam Graduate Record Examination

This exam is also accepted by several business schools, especially in the United States. There is analytical writing, quantitative reasoning and verbal reasoning. It is administered via computer-based testing. This test is adaptive.

  1. SNAP Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 

Gives admission to 16 symbiosis colleges in India. Over the years SNAP has changed its way of taking exams from paper to computer-based. Likely to be held in December. It is a 60-mark question paper, including English, data sufficiency, analytics and logical reasoning.

  1. MAT exam Management aptitude test

It is one of the most popular national aptitude tests. MAT score is valid for a year.  MAT scores are accepted by a wide range of management institutes and B-schools across India. It’s essential to research the specific requirements and eligibility criteria of the institutes you wish to apply to. This exam is conducted by the All India Management Association. The exam fee is rupees 1950 which is to be paid in online mode.

  1. ATMA (Aims Test for Management Admission)

It is used for admission into various post-graduation programs including MBA. There are analytical reasoning, verbal reasoning, quantitative and verbal skills. The score is 0 to 180. The total composite score is usually used for admission.

  1. NMAT by GMAC (NMAT)

NMAT is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and is accepted by several Indian and international business schools.

  1. IIFT Indian Institute of Foreign Trade

It is a paper-based test. Usually consists of MCQs and a 2-hour test. Used in admission in International Business in IIFT. The IIFT paper consists of Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and quantitative ability. The time duration for this exam is 2 hours. Until last year, the NTA used to conduct the IIFT exam in computer-based mode at 160 exam centers in 63 cities in India.

  1. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)

XAT is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI. There is verbal reasoning, Decision-making, Quantitative ability, General knowledge and Essay Writing. It is a computer-based test. The test duration is 3 hours. XAT is usually held in the first week of January.

  1. IRMA social awareness test

It is an entrance exam conducted by the Institute Of Rural Management Anand for admission to its various management programs, including the Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) and the Fellow Program In Rural Management
